  164. STORAGE CHARGES:

  166. Disk storage charges are computed from your average monthly used at
  167. a rate of $0.05 per 512 byte block.

  170. All userids bearing the prefix "nc" will be charged for all CPU time
  171. used above 20 minutes during the billing period at a rate of $0.035
  172. per CPU minute.
  173. TAPE MOUNTS:
  174. 9 track tape mounts are billed at a rate of $1.00 per mount.  Prior
  175. arrangements must be made with Data-Net management in order to use
  176. the tape spooling facilities.
  177. PRINTED LISTINGS:
  178. You may send ASCII files to the line printer device and Data-Net will
  179. mail the printout to your registered mailing address.  The charge for
  180. printouts is $1.00 for the first page and $0.25 for each additional
  181. page plus postage and any applicable sales taxes.
  182. Printouts are printed on 14 7/8" x 11" green bar single copy paper.
  183. Terms:
  184. All Data-Net statements and invoices are due when rendered.  Any
  185. accounts unpaid for greater than 30 days are subject to an interest
  186. rate of 1.5% per month.  Any account unpaid for greater than 30 days
  187. is subject to suspension.  A $15.00 fee is charged to re-instate an
  188. account which has been suspended due to non-payment.

  235. HOW TO USE THE ADS CLASSIFIEDS
  236.  
  237. The ADS system is menu driven and very easy to use.
  238. The menu offers several functions:
  239.  
  240. READ, POST, SCAN, DELETE and eXIT
  241.  
  242. Each command almost describes itself completely.
  243.  
  244. The READ function lets you read all of the posted
  245. advertisements.  Each advertisement contains a unique
  246. ad header.  The header shows the userid of the user
  247. who posted the ad, the date and time the ad was posted
  248. and a subject line .  After each header is displayed the
  249. user is prompted with  "more [ynq]"  If you wish to read
  250. the full text of the ad then enter y or yes.  N or no
  251. will skip to the next ad header and q or quit will return
  252. you to the ads menu.

  254. The POST function provides a means for you to post
  255. or enter a classified ad.  When you select POST you will
  256. be asked to enter the category number.  (For a list of
  257. categories enter a ? instead of a category number)
  258. Next you will be asked to enter the Subject line.  This
  259. is a one line (40 characters max) reference field.  After
  260. entering the subject header you will then be prompted to 
  261. enter the text of your ad.  Each line of your text is
  262. numbered.  When you have completed entering your text
  263. you must type the phrase   .done    at the start of the
  264. next blank line and then press return.
  265. You will be prompted with a sub menu which allows you
  266. to (A)bort the ad posting, (E)dit the text of your ad,
  267. (L)ist the text of your ad or (S)ave your ad.  Saving your
  268. ad will post the ad for all other users to see.  The editor
  269. used in the ads system is similar to the Data-Net ezed
  270. editor.  For more information on the editor consult the
  271. ezed help file by typing ezed.help from the Data-Net
  272. command level ($).

  274. SCAN lets you scan the subject header of all ads
  275. looking for a keyword match.
  276.  
  277. DELETE furnishes a easy method for you to delete your
  278. posted ads.
  279. The XIT command will exit you from the ADS system to
  280. the Data-Net command level ($).
  281.  
  282. Since the ADS system is a classified advertising service,
  283. we have devised several categories or classifications
  284. in which you may POST or READ an ad.  Each category has
  285. a number assigned to it.
  286.  
  287. For example, category 0 is hardware for sale.  When ever
  288. you READ or POST an ad you will be asked to enter the
  289. category number.  This will allow you to READ from or POST
  290. to the appropriate category.  If you enter a question mark (?)
  291. when prompted for category number, you will be shown a list
  292. of all available categories.
  293.  
  294. Please be advised that there is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for
  295. using ads.  Also be aware that ads older than 4 weeks will
  296. automatically be purged.
